We’ll go into the history behind Argentina’s most popular wine region – and which vineyards you should visit to get the full experience!

THE WINES OF MENDOZA

The many fascinating aspects of Argentina are reason enough to visit, but the wine regions of Mendoza should be visited by wine lovers and explorers alike. Two thirds of the country’s wine production happens here, with more than 1,500 wineries spread throughout this popular wine region.

High altitude vineyards are separated into three main sections: Lujan de Cuyo, Valle de Uco, and Maipu. The soil paired with the continental climate and semi arid desert conditions make this area perfect for viticulture. Known mostly for its Malbec, Mendoza also produces plantings for Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay, and Sauvignon Blanc, among others.

Try visiting these popular vineyards:

CHANDON

Head to Chandon if you’re looking to expand your experience with sparkling wines. You can even partake in a multi-course winery lunch or a winery tour and tasting!

SALENTEIN

A historical winery with architecture that will wow you just as much as the wine itself, Salentein is certainly worth a visit. What’s more, their barrel room is designed to double as a concert hall.
